The Wuppertal cycle route R3 can be started at the Friedenshain bus stop and ends at the Kohlfurther Brücke bus stop. The route first runs through the Gelpetal valley and then through the Morsbach valley. Even on the last few kilometres, you don't have to do without the water as a companion, as you cycle very close to the Wupper. The R3 is signposted in both directions and runs on separate cycle paths or along moderately busy roads.
