Popular hiking trail in the Bergisches Land Nature Park, North Rhine-Westphalia.
A route has been created between Hennef and Winterscheid that literally takes you along the "Holzweg". This is one of the Sieg adventure trails and is the flagship of local hiking tourism. A good starting point for the Holzweg is the hiking car park in Derenbachtal.
This route leads past beautiful green meadows, through colourful forests and along small streams. Some wonderful views open up along the circular route, although there is only a difference in altitude of 460 metres to overcome. There are many forest paths and the route is steep in places. Due to forestry work, some sections of the route are very rutted,
