The towers and walls of Blankenberg town and castle rise around 80 metres above the Sieg, on a "bare mountain". This short and varied hike provides plenty of information about the history of the town and castle. There are also spectacular views of the Siegtal valley and from the heights above the Adscheider Bach stream. The path across the vineyards and a tour of the castle grounds with a magnificent view of the Siegtal valley from the castle keep add to the variety.
