Great circular route in the Harz Mountains, Lower Saxony, Germany.
A beautiful, but little varied round across the forest between Bad Lauterberg and Herzberg am Harz. The path starts in the village and leads past the Augenquelle fairground to Kupferhütte. Here you can already take a short break in the forest café. Then it's a little steeper uphill and always through the forest to the Großer Knollen, on the top of which there is a lookout tower and a restaurant (closed on Mondays except on public holidays). It goes back through the forest and along a small stream.
