Fifth stage of the varied Harzer BaudenSteig long-distance hiking trail near Bad Sachsa in Lower Saxony.
It starts at the spa gardens in Bad Sachsa just before the "Frechdachs" - the only schoolchildren's monument in Germany. The trail leads through the beautiful Uffetal valley to the highest mountain in the southern Harz, the Stöberhai. You will be rewarded for the strenuous climb with a magnificent view of Sankt Andreasberg, the Wurmberg and the Brocken. At Stöberhai station, you can stop off at the cosy forest restaurant and reflect on the impressions of this beautiful stage.
