You accompany the Harle on its last 5 km before it flows into the North Sea and even walk directly along the river for a moment. The hiking trails offer plenty of variety: You walk on quiet, tarmac field paths, narrow gravel paths, on dykes and a short stretch near Altfunnixsiel on a road with little traffic. Along the historic inland harbour of Carolinensiel and the inland harbour of Harlesiel, you follow well frequented pavements, especially in summer. There are places to stop for refreshments.
