This varied and nature-oriented circular leads through one of the most important green lungs in the west of Braunschweig, the city of lions. The trail opens up the extensive grounds of Westpark and the adjacent area of the Raffteiche ponds. The route runs almost exclusively on flat, well-maintained park paths, paved riverside paths and through small wooded areas. A central highlight is the chain of Raffteiche ponds, which were originally created as fish ponds and today represent a valuable biotope, as well as the modern sculptures and wide meadows of Westpark.
