On this route, the Weser-Harz-Heide cycle path (WHH) first leads from Braunschweig city centre to Abbesbüttel. A few years ago, the Marina Abbesbüttel was built directly on the Mittelland Canal, an exclusive residential area. From there, apart from a few small exceptions, you always follow the Mittelland Canal. Unfortunately, some sections of the paths along the Mittelland Canal are not in particularly good condition.
