Taunus: Seelenberg - Pferdskopf - Treisberg - Seelenberg

A rugged circular walk in the Taunus, Hesse Starting from the Tuttmannswald car park near Seelenberg, this route follows wonderfully dense forest paths, first past the Feldkopf and on to one of the most popular attractions in the Taunus: the 34-metre-high observation tower on the Pferdskopf. Once you have enjoyed the panoramic views from dizzying heights, the route continues to Treisberg (where you can stop for refreshments) and towards Finsterthal. From here, following the course of the idyllic Saubach stream, you return to the starting point of the hike. During the summer months, parts of the route can become so overgrown that the hike suddenly becomes much more difficult than expected. In that case, it is better to take an alternative route. The route is not well marked in places, so it is advisable to use a map.
