This hike can be reached by bus and train (Wald-Michelbach railway station). For those travelling by car, there are parking facilities at the starting point. There are also refreshment stops in Wald-Michelbach. The route is therefore ideal as a day trip from Mannheim.
The route starts in Wald-Michelbach and leads in a south-easterly direction to the summit of the Lannertskopf mountain. After a short descent, the route follows the Ulfenbach river back to Wald-Michelbach. The trail is marked with a white nine in an open circle at the top.
