You should plan a good two hours for the eight-kilometre butterfly trail. Together with the Owl Trail, it leads just past the Hühnerhof golf course around the Oberwald forest. It leaves the Owl Trail at "Lothar's Bank" to meet it again a few metres downhill. "Lothar's Bench" was donated to Lothar Krieg by the town of Gelnhausen on his retirement. He was responsible for the Gelnhausen municipal forest for many years. Together we walk past the large solar ranch at the Gelnhäuser Warte to the forest swimming pool and take the Milan back to Sommerbergstraße.
