The starting point is at the Eschweger Klosterbrauerei brewery. The route first heads south-east along the L 3244 out of the town and into the fields until it reaches the Schlierbachswald forest. There are a few climbs to master right at the start. Through the green paradise, you return to inhabited areas, visit the gravel pits near Treffurt and then follow the Werra back to the starting point. Accessible by bus and train. There are refreshment stops along the route.
