Kunst- u. Kulturpfad Geopark Tour 2: Glambeck/Parlow

Art and Culture Trail Geopark Tour 2 Route: Imperial railway station Joachimsthal - Biorama - Joachimsplatz - Schorfheide-Info - Glambeck monument - Parlow granary - Imperial railway station Nature of the route: The entire tour is approx. 80 % asphalt and approx. 20 % cobblestones. Tour description: The cultural-historical trail starts at the historic Kaiserbahnhof in Joachimsthal, which is also known as the 1st radio play station in Germany (the season always opens with the Berlin/Brb. summer holidays). Following the signs for the "Art and Culture Trail Geopark", the route leads to the BIORAMA viewing platform and over the clay hills to the Brunold Monument. The Schinkel Church, town hall, Elector's Fountain and memorial stone can be seen on St Joachim's Square. You leave Joachimsplatz via Mühlenstraße and the next stop is the Schorfheide Information Centre. From the Schorfheide-Info, the route leads along Templiner Straße to the railway crossing. After the railway crossing, the route turns right towards Parlow-Glambeck and follows the main road to Glambeck. After a few metres in the village, the route comes to the bicycle church with rest areas and shelters, as well as the pigeon tower, the village museum, the estate park and the ice cellar. Then it's back to the end of the village, where you turn right onto the Melliner Weg towards Parlow. Between Glambeck and Parlow is the Mellin viewpoint with a memorial stone. The trail then leads through the village of Parlow, where the Parlow granary and "Gasthof am Speicher" are located. Turn left back towards Joachimsthal.
