Popular long-distance hike in the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park, Brandenburg.
This exciting long-distance hiking trail leads along the River Dahme from the former settlement area of the Slavic Sprewane tribe in the south of Berlin to the settlement area of the Slavic Lusitzi tribe in Lusatia in southern Brandenburg. You hike through a wonderful cultural landscape that has been settled alternately by Germanic and Slavic tribes over the last 2000 years, as evidenced by archaeological monuments, place names and field names.
The trail is characterised by its course along the rivers Dahme and Spree, small streams of the Spreewald, numerous lakes and moors as well as the extensive forests of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park.
The trail ends at Raddusch railway station, from where you can return to Königs Wusterhausen in less than an hour.
