Rundweg Zeesener See

This official hiking trail of the town of Königs Wusterhausen is signposted and marked with a yellow circle. Hiking time approx. 3 hours, several access points to Lake Zeesen, at least 3 bathing spots, path through residential areas, always very beautiful spots in the forest, on the lakeshore and in the Luch. Several catering establishments are inviting; interesting detours to the clay ponds are possible. Suitable for hikers of all ages. The trail leads from Storkower Straße along the edge of the forest towards Krebssee. The lush green marshy meadows and wide-spreading deciduous trees at the edge of the path have a relaxing and refreshing effect on the hiker. You pass the forestry nature trail and the orchard meadow. The meadow orchard is a refuge especially for families with children. The hike runs partly through quiet, unspoilt natural and meadow landscapes and partly through well-kept residential and weekend estates. Here and there, the route leads directly along the lakeshore. You reach the village of Zeesen, which was first mentioned in documents in the 15th century. The village went down in film history with its story about the manor house. Where Fasanenstraße joins the Dorfaue, you can take a detour to the Zeesen bathing beach. The walk continues along Seestraße, which is separated only by undergrowth and runs directly along the shore of Lake Zeesen, providing access in some places. If you stay close to the shore, you will reach the southern tip of the lake in Körbiskrug. The Senzig settlement of Waldesruh begins not far away. The settlement was founded at the end of the 1920s by Berliners tired of the city as a recreational area. At Gräbendorfer Straße, the hiker keeps left and reaches Chausseestraße. This is a busy road. Be careful when crossing! After a few metres, you enter the zoo. It is a nature reserve located on the Stabe and Krimnicksee lakes and has a specially designated hiking trail. You then return to Königs Wusterhausen railway station via Kirchsteig.
