Enchanting climb to the Rauhkopf, Bavaria.
The hike starts at the beautiful mountain lake Spitzingsee in southern Bavaria. From there, it goes steadily uphill through the beautiful alpine landscape, which is a unique experience, especially in summer. First, the seasonally managed Schönfeldhütte is reached. From there, the path leads further up to the summit of the 1689-meter-high Raukopf. Big mountain cinema rewarded. The ascent to the highest point of the route.
In one round, it goes downhill past the Taubensteinhaus, which is managed seasonally. A final section takes hikers to the Taubensteinbahn station, where the Panorama mountain inn is a beautiful way to end before heading back by train (note travel times and prices).
