Stage 18 of the long-distance hiking trail "Wasserläufer-Route", Bavaria.
Together with the Himmelsstürmer-Route and the Wiesengänger-Route, the Wasserläufer-Route forms the "Wandertrilogie Allgäu", a network of more than 400 kilometres of long-distance hiking trails.
The eighteenth stage is very relaxed at 11 km in length and is all about water. It leads from Scheidegg via the Waldsee lake to Lindenberg in the Allgäu. The undisputed highlight is the Scheidegg waterfalls, which cascade down from a height of more than 40 metres.
There are places to stay overnight and stop for refreshments. If this section is too short for you, you can hike the nineteenth stage at the same time and thus extend the route to a hike of almost 25 kilometres (see also Water Strider Route Stage 18a: Scheidegg - Eglofs).
