From the PP Wankbahn (720m) directly up under the railway. Above the high ropes course (820m), take the path to the right. Take the next turn-off to the left towards Schafkopf (1164m). From there, sometimes a little steeper up the ridge to the NE towards Eckenberg (1749m) and further to the SE towards Wank (1780m) to the Wankhaus. Descend via the ski route, first heading SE past the Sonnenalm (1740m) to the Roßwank (1660m), then heading NNE to the Esterbergalm (1260m). Now head W along the forest path to the "Hüttlsteig" junction at the bench (1240m). Turn left up the path and follow the soon narrow path up and down the slope in a SSW direction. Leave the "Schafkopf - Mittelstation" junction to the left and continue in a SW direction. At the bench at the bend in the forest road, continue straight ahead in a SW direction until you reach the ascent route. Follow this back to the PP.
