Simssee Circular Route

Very nice round around the Simssee in the nature reserve. The southern shore in particular is scenically very attractive. Unfortunately, there has been a dispute between authorities and residents for years, blocking some lake properties from the public. The route runs on roads with little traffic, gravel and forest paths. On the west bank it runs next to a railway line, on the east bank through beautiful, shady forest. The complete circuit is particularly suitable for a bike tour. The section from the Baierbach bathing area to the Seewirt in Ecking and back is recommended for hiking. A nice tour even in winter. Parking is available at the Baierbach hiking car park and at the lido. In the nature reserve the bike has to be pushed. There are bathing spots in Baierbach and Pietzung. For children there are some playgrounds along the way. There are also nice rest stops with delicious regional cuisine.
