• Partial Closure Silvretta Hochalpenstraße: The Silvretta High Alpine Road has been closed since July 2024 and is expected to remain so until summer 2030 due to several rockfalls and mudslides. Alternatively, the Vermuntbahn remains in operation throughout the summer and provides access to the Bielerhöhe from the Vorarlberg side. From Tyrol, the route via the Paznaun valley is toll-free during the construction period. The Silvretta High Alpine Road is one of the most beautiful and popular mountain roads in the Alps and is therefore also known as the "dream road of the Alps for connoisseurs". It connects the Paznaun in Tyrol with the Montafon in Vorarlberg. In the Tyrolean part of this route, the route leads from Galtür to the 2,032 metre high Bielerhöhe. There, the highest mountain in the area, the Piz Buin, towers over the high alpine surroundings. The beautiful mountain scenery and the Vermunt and Silvretta reservoirs right on the edge of the route make this route something special.
