The Allgäu Panorama Marathon has been held once a year since 2009 and has something for everyone – from the Kids’ Run to this ultra-marathon. As there is only a slight change in altitude, there’s no need to bring a change of clothes. The race starts at the Allgäu Outlet Centre and finishes at the indoor swimming pool in Wonnemar (800 metres from the start). A fit runner will take around 10 hours to complete the course. Anyone who finds running downhill difficult should allow for around 11 hours. The time limit is 12 hours and the course record stands at 6 hours 24 minutes. The route mainly follows forest tracks and tarmac roads; only the final section takes runners along a longer trail.
