This route expands the popular hiking trail through the Breitachklamm near Oberstorf into a beautiful circular route. The Breitachklamm is one of the deepest gorges in the Bavarian Alps and one of the deepest rocky gorges in Central Europe. Alpine conditions prevail in the gorge - sturdy shoes are a must and short-term closures due to dangerous weather conditions are possible. The way back is relaxed and full of beautiful views of the surrounding mountain peaks over the Alpe Dornach.
Please note: Due to snowmelt and/or repair work, the Breitachklamm is closed every year from around mid-March to around the end of April and between mid-November and mid-December.
