This impressive and popular premium hiking trail is part of the SalzAlpenTouren and leads over 29 bridges and footbridges through the wild and romantic gorges of the Almbachklamm. Right at the start, you can marvel at Germany's oldest marble ball mill, followed by the Sulzer waterfall and the Kugelmühle inn as a refreshment stop. The region is also known for the pilgrimage church Maria Heimsuchung in Ettenberg, as well as the Untersberg marble, to which a museum with a marble mill is dedicated near Fürstenbrunn.
Although the paths of the Almbachklamm gorge hike are secured, the tour has the characteristics of an alpine climb, which is why surefootedness and a head for heights, non-slip shoes and appropriate clothing are recommended.
