The circular route starts in the western part of Munich at the Munich-Laim stop. From there it goes clockwise through Kreuzlinger Forst, Gilching, Biburg through the Ampertal valley to Olching, on to Gröbenzell and finally back to the starting point.
The route leads along paved paths through a varied landscape. The route also offers refreshment stops and from time to time there is the option of returning by public transport.
