The mountain bike tour starts at the Sonnenhügel guesthouse. The route follows the river Iller towards Sonthofen to the Winkel district. Turn right there on a small toll road steeply uphill. Via the Alpe Berghofer Wald on the Königssträsschen through the area of the Großer Wald past the Dreiangelhuette in the direction of Schnitzlertalalpe. A steep ascent follows on a gravel track and soon a fantastic view of Unter- and Oberjoch and the Tannheim mountains opens up. Continuing in the direction of Wertacher Hörnle, the route soon turns off to the left along some trails and pushing passages past the Buchelalpe and steeply down into the valley to the German Alpine Road. At Oberjoch, you can then enjoy the downhill on the old Joch road. The route then continues to Bad Hindelang and back to Fischen via Sonthofen.
