From the eighth stage onwards, the Goldsteig Trail splits into the southern route and the northern route.
The eighth stage of the Goldsteig: northern route begins with magnificent views, including of Haus Murach Castle. The route leads through the Prackendorfer and Kulzer Moos nature reserve. A number of animal species on the Red List live here.
