Blomberg Circular Route from Stallau

This circular route leads from Stallau, at the foot of the Bavarian Pre-Alps, up the wooded slopes of the Blomberg near Bad Tölz. The path climbs through peaceful mixed woodland along root-strewn forest tracks and, further up, joins easily walkable forest tracks. On the mountain ridge near the historic Blomberghaus, open alpine meadows open up, offering a panoramic view over the Isar Valley and the peaks of the Alpine Foothills. The return route winds its way down through dense, shady woodland. Sturdy walking boots with a good tread are recommended for the uneven and, in places, stony and root-covered sections.
