• Partial Closure Sankenbach Waterfall: Since 18 July 2026, parts of the bridges at the Sankenbach Waterfall have been damaged due to a landslide. The path leading up from the Sankenbach Waterfall to the Wasserfallhütte is therefore impassable and closed until further notice. A diversion is signposted. Wonderful, panoramic hiking trail in the Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg.
The circular route starts in Baiersbronn very close to Baiersbronn Schule railway station and leads through the forest and along the Sankenbach stream to the idyllic Sankenbachsee lake. From here it is not far to the waterfalls. Then the descent begins, which is quite steep in places, past the Glasmännlehütte and back to the starting point. Hiking boots are definitely recommended on this tour.
