Heubühl Circular via Todtnauberg

This classic Southern Black Forest circular route leads through one of the most snow-sure and highest regions of the mountain range. The trail connects the Notschrei Pass (1,119 m) with the sunny high valley of Todtnauberg, circling the Heubühl (1,145 m). The route follows a mixture of well-maintained forestry tracks and scenic mountain paths, repeatedly offering views of the Feldberg massif and, on clear days, the Swiss Alps. A central highlight is the idyllic high-altitude setting, providing a perfect contrast between dense coniferous forests and open mountain pastures. The tour is technically moderate but requires good preparation due to its elevation and exposure to the elements.
