Although this circular route is rather short, it feels more like an alpine hike due to the surroundings. It leads along mountainous paths to the Schauinsland museum mine and along various viewpoints. The route then returns to Hofsgrund via the Schauinsland cable car mountain station.
The start is at the Sport Rees car park. There is also a bus to the bus stop of the same name.
