Picturesque, certified premium hiking trail in the Central Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg.
The Gutacher Tälersteig is part of the Black Forest Gourmet Trails, which is why hikers have many opportunities to linger and savour the Black Forest cuisine. The circular hike leads through forests and valleys and offers a number of views of the typical Black Forest cultural landscape. The circular route leads along forest paths down into the picturesque Vogelbachtal valley, with views of the Gutachtal valley. The trail continues into the Eberbach valley, past the Steinades Loch and back to the junction above the Schmittsbach stream. There are plenty of rest stops along the way to round off the hiking experience.
Some of the paths are very steep and a little stamina is required. The signposting is good throughout.
