Panoramic, certified premium hiking trail in the Upper Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg.
This circular trail is one of the Black Forest gourmet trails. Stunning views and impressive nature make this trail exciting and varied from the first to the last step. It starts at the Haus der Natur. The route leads along the Franz-Klarmeyer-Weg via the Bismarck monument to Feldberg. Here you can enjoy the marvellous view before the descent to the Baldenweger Hütte begins. There you can stop for a bite to eat, relax and enjoy the view.
Parts of the route can be very muddy and wet.
The route then follows the Sägenbach stream and soon reaches the idyllic Feldsee lake before returning to the starting point. The route follows many narrow paths along steep rock faces, offers great views and leads through one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Germany. It has an almost sub-alpine character and on good days you can see from the Zugspitze to Mont Blanc. Note for owners of a "Hochschwarzwälder Wanderkompass": there is a stamp in the form of a cuckoo clock on this route.
