This beautiful circular route is relatively short, but has some climbs and elevation gain. From the Pension Birkenhof inn through the remote Black Forest valley you go to the gorge with a view of the picturesque Menzenschwander waterfalls. Then it goes uphill for a while and finally follows the Oberer Grossbach back to the starting point.
From May to October, the waterfalls can be admired with lighting every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evening.
