Three Gorges Hike

Great circular trail in the Black Forest, Baden Württemberg. The name says it all on this varied route, which partly follows the famous Black Forest Gorge Trail: Along impressive rock galleries and rugged limestone walls, you go upstream along the Gauchach, past waterfalls through three gorges. The tour can be shortened individually. The challenging Enge gorge can be bypassed, for example, by taking the turnoff towards Bachheim shortly after the mouth of the Gauchach, and so the path leads through the Burgwald back to the hikers' car park. Experience, sturdy shoes, and sure-footedness are essential on this route. The Enge Gorge, in particular, is only recommended for experienced hikers; on very narrow paths, which can be very slippery when wet, you go along the abyss here. If you don't go through the gorge, the course runs on fantastic nature trails that are well-developed and very well-marked. There is a place to stop for refreshments near the wild and romantic Gauchach Gorge in the Burgmühle. On weekends and public holidays, a hiking bus runs to the route's starting point.
