This hike can be reached by bus and train (bus stop Gutenstein-Langenhardter Straße). For those travelling by car, there are parking facilities at the starting point. There are also refreshment stops in the villages along the route.
The hiking trail starts in the west of the municipality of Gutenstein at Gutenstein Castle. The trail then runs along numerous castles and palaces, sometimes directly alongside the Danube or a little further away. Wonderful views of the Danube valley are guaranteed.
