This circular route leads up the Luisenturm tower and around the Altenberge Pinge, an old mining site. The Luisenturm stands on the Geisingberg and you can reach the tower's viewing platform via a spiral staircase with 88 steps. From here you have a breathtaking panoramic view of Altenberg and the surrounding countryside.

Altenberg can be reached by train from Dresden. From Altenberg railway station, the trail leads past the Großer Galgenteich pond on the Julius Schmidt Steig to Neu Schellerhau, continuing over the Stephanhöhe to Bärenfels to the Bärenfelser Stüb'l. Continue along the nature trail via Hofehübel past Klotzes Grab.
