A really great and very varied stage! Lots of climbs but great views. Absolutely worthwhile. There is a bus from Roetgen to Monschau. There is a summer toboggan run in Roetgen, which is definitely worth a visit ;-) The start of the Eifelsteig in Monschau is directly above the bus station, diagonally upwards to the right into the mountainside.
