Best trails near Angelbecksteich

This route is stage 12 of the Heidschnuckenweg, a long-distance trail through Lower Saxony. This specific section starts in Weesen and ends at Dehningshof. The path traverses the Misselhorner Heide on sandy trails and opens up to the panoramic Tiefental valley before entering dense pine forests and reaching the Angelbecksteich pond. Popular circular hike in the Südheide Nature Park, Lower Saxony. From the starting point at the car park at the Angelbecksteich pond, the route runs through landscapes typical of the region. Sandy paths, some of them very narrow, meander through heathland, picturesque woodland and past many a small body of water. There is also a shorter version of the W11 hiking trail ("medium tour").
