Best trails near Barmsee

This hike leads around the Barmsee lake near Krün, set against the spectacular backdrop of the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains. The trail starts in Krün Ost and leads through sparse pine forests and across flowering hummock meadows. Rare alpine flowers such as gentian and, with a bit of luck, edelweiss grow in the sheltered shore areas in early summer. The crystal-clear water of the lake is a habitat for many water birds and offers a welcome refreshment on the north-west bank on hot days....

Beautiful circular route in Bavaria. It starts in the center of Krün. As the name suggests, 3 beautiful lakes are visited: Barmsee, Geroldsee and Grubsee. The tour through Gerold and Klais leads across open meadows and fields and through shady forest sections. In Krün there are inns and cafés to stop by.
