Leisurely summit hike to the Hochgern This hike is ideal after an overnight stay at the Hochgernhaus. However, the short section to the summit is also worthwhile after the ascent to Marquartstein and a stopover on the sun terrace. Whether before or after the hike, you shouldn't miss out on a cool drink on the Hochgernhaus sun terrace. With a bit of luck, you might spot a few marmots on the way to the summit.

This stage from Ruhpolding to Marquartstein includes two of the most important panoramic mountains in Bavaria: the Hochfelln and the Hochgern.
