Best trails near Kenzenhütte

Varied mountain bike tour in the Ammergebirge nature reserve, Bavaria. The tour to the Kenzenhütte is sometimes very steep - the first half is almost constantly uphill. You cycle through a really great landscape, even at higher altitudes there are still many deciduous trees. After the previous long stage, this one from Linderhof to Kenzenhütte is now rather short and invites you to linger, rest and unwind. Along the Sägertalbach it goes steadily uphill to the Bäckenalm. From there it gets steep and you climb the 1,536m high Bäckenalmsattel. On the west side, the path leads downhill over alpine pastures to the Kenzenhütte. Challenging section of route in the Ammergebirge nature reserve, Bavaria The second stage of the Himmelsstürmer route leads over the Kenzelsattel and Niederstraußbergsattel to the Tegelberghaus.
