After a first short ascent, you pass the Oberauerbrunstalm, which is open at weekends and on fine days. The hike is characterised by wonderful panoramic views and highlights such as waterfalls and caves along the way.

Starting point: car park at the festival hall (620 m) First ascend towards Kampenwand in the forest until you reach a ski slope. Continue on this towards Hirschenstein, past it and to the Kampenwand cable car (1460 m). Pass the Sonnenalm and Kampenwandhütte (1500 m) to the Steinlingalm (1448 m). Continue past the eastern summit of the Kampenwand towards Hochalpenkopf to start the return journey from there.
