At 21,967 hectares, the Hüttener Berge Nature Park is the smallest nature park in Schleswig-Holstein. The terminal moraines of the Hüttener Berge were created by the Ice Age and offer animals, plants and people a varied landscape in the Eckernförde - Rendsburg - Schleswig triangle. The Weichselian glacial has created large and small lakes, moors and hills and repeatedly scattered large and small stones across the landscape.
