The route passes through forests and past viewpoints, such as Beim Fändelchen, which provide a view of the Our loop and the medieval Vianden Castle. Built between the 11th and 14th centuries, this castle is a reminder of the region's rich feudal history. The surface is unpaved and may consist of tarmac or paved forest roads in other parts.
