The panoramic circular hike begins in Sachrang at the Geigelstein car park and leads along the Ackerwaldweg into the Geigelstein nature reserve to the Geigelstein itself, which lies at an altitude of 1808 metres. The view from the summit cross extends over Lake Chiemsee in the north to the rugged peaks of the Kaiser Mountains in the south. The ascent is long and requires surefootedness.

The stage from the Kampenwand to the Priener Hütte has wonderful views and beautiful alpine pastures. A short stretch, the ascent to the Weitlahnerkopf, is secured with a wire rope and requires sure-footedness.
