Best historic site trails in Naturschutzgebiet Eggstätt-Hemhofer Seenplatte

Beautiful circular route in Bavaria. The hike starts at the car park, although it is possible to arrive here by bus. It goes along three different lakes: Kesselsee, Einbessee and Hartsee. Some of the route runs along the edge of the forest, others through the shady woods surrounding the lakes. In the summer months, it is essential to wear mosquito repellent. There are signposted bathing areas at the lakes - otherwise, however, swimming in the lake is prohibited for nature conservation reasons.
