Best trail running trails in Bad Elster

Popular running event in the Erzgebirge/Vogtland Nature Park, Saxony. This is the 12 km version of the Königslauf. The route runs along forest paths and footpaths that are easy to run on, with roads only rarely having to be crossed. Starting from the NaturTheater Bad Elster, the route leads through the picturesque Zeidelweidetal valley. This pleasant loop begins at the Sohl train station and leads through the wooded hills of the Vogtland towards the traditional spa town of Bad Elster. This route starts in Bad Elster and explores the forest to the west of the town, which borders the Czech Republic at times. It begins with the use of the Kuhbergwerg and leads past the Kuhberg. It then turns left onto the Ringweg. The rest of the hike follows this path through the forest and winds its way back to the town.
