Best river trails in Leverkusen

The name of the idyllic fruit trail says it all - it starts at NaturGut Ophoven and leads through open terrain and past many fruit trees. There are always information boards explaining how to preserve the increasingly rare orchards. You can stop off at the Claashäuschen and, if you wish, shorten the route.

The nature reserve on Hornpottweg is a great place to observe birds and other wild animals. Don't miss the water buffalo and cattle in the old gravel pit, which you are welcome to watch but are not allowed to feed. Dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the nature reserve.
