Best long trails in Parchim

The Buchholz is a forest south/south-east of Parchim. It has a few different hiking trails that run through it. This trail mainly leads around the outskirts, but also ventures into the centre. However, other routes can also be explored. It is ideal for running or walking the dog. There is also another access point from Meyenburger Straße.

This route starts south of Parchim and explores the Sonnenberg forest. This is a great way to see a large part of the forest, including the Sonnenberg "summit" and the Vietingshöhle, a wooden hut fun for children, in addition to the large wooden man nearby.
