Best partially-paved trails in Liebenau

Country-connecting eco trail between Lamerden, Körbecke and Ostheim This circular hiking trail leads over the ridges and through the Diemel valley. Archaeological highlights can be discovered again and again along the entire route. The hike also takes you through idyllic beech forests where colourful spring flowers meander along the route.

The tour starts in Niedermeister, you follow the Warme to Zwergen and then walk across fields and through woods in an arc back to Niedermeister. In Zwergen you can visit the historic church. You should allow around 2.5 to 3 hours for this tour.

Popular circular hike in the Reinhardswald Nature Park, Hesse. This relaxed hike through woods and meadows starts in Liebenau. You walk round the Steinberg and the Wacholderberg. The Schwiemelkopf nature reserve is located directly on the route. Highlights of the hike: - Juniper mountain - Steinberg - Schwiemelkopf nature reserve - Valley of the Diemel

From Ostheim, the route crosses the Diemel bridge and then follows the Diemel to Lamerden via the Ostheimer Hute nature reserve back to Ostheim. The hiking sign is a yellow O1 on a black background.
